I thought I knew you.  I thought I knew your heart.
I guess I was wrong, I never knew you at all.
How I wish I did, how I yearn for those moments.
My soul aches from the absence of your touch.
My lips, dry and cracked, thirst for your kiss.
My mind, a twisted mass of tissue, lies numb.

You told me I no longer was for you.
You asked me to leave, to open and step out.
The cold on my face chills me.
The cold of your heart freezes me.
I am lost without your love, please return.

I cannot forget those warm nights beside you.
You, in your beauty, sleeping peacefully.
My heart fluttered as I watched you.
Now my eyes no longer see, my heart is blind.

Two years of passion, love, joy, adventure....cast away.
Why must I leave now?  What have I done ever so wrong?
Can I be forgiven for a wrong that I do not understand?
Will you ever again open the door to your heart?

I was just thinking earlier how easy it is to forgive someone that you genuinely care for and how hard it is to forgive someone that you no longer care for...at some point in time people do stop caring...due to issue's of being hurt or it happened one to many times...hopefully she hasn't been hurt one to many times and she does still have a soft place in her heart for you...James

Oh my, I can feel the saddness in this.
Sometimes people change, and they want to separate to grow as a person.
If it was meant to be then they will come back to you! And remember...the line on your fishing pole goes on!
Best Wishes always

JM....I am happy to say that I have been
married for hummmmm....32 years....our
share of rocks in the road....but this poem
is just part of my writing....thank you for
your words, and your concerns...I hope I
don't have to write this for real.

RosePetal....sorry that seems so real.  That
is just my style.  I can get deep into
romance.   Must have been all of the girls
I loved that never loved me years ago...
But I didn't write then....My loss.  Thanx
for the comment.

(big hugggssssss) Oh Magnus, this is so so sad! My heart cries out to you, though deep down they missed the wonderful person you are and wish they had such a beautiful person like you! (sigh) My heart cries out to your sorrow, dearest friend! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Magnus, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

This poem is filled with a lot of sadness. I wish people didn't have to go through such things. Great poem!

Wow - you have such a sensitive heart. I know this was not reality. No woman would cast out a man whose heart goes this deep.

Domzi....thanx...yes,  I wish it never
happened to any one.  but that is the only
way we grow in love.  We sometimes have to
learn the hard way....all of us.  Me too.
