The Shores of Alone

My lover, known so well, and yet
my heart beats wildly as we close
the gap between us which you let
and soon now over, as you know.

Such liquid fire resides in me
to come to life within your arms
to give you all you'd hope to see
while strength of yours removes all harm.

There are no words to tell you all
you mean to me, in truth too much
Your presence holds me deep in thrall
a lightning bolt within your touch.

My lover, let us now be free
this love is for eternity.

I believe this is heaven to no one else but me, and I will defend it as long as I'm left here to linger in silence...Sara McLachlan

this was written from a heart full of love wasn't it?  It's simply a devotional....

-befriend yourself and you will never be alone-

It is hard to miss the one we would love for eternity.....but you have penned it well in this emotion filled poem. Such love fills your words that one cannot help but see how deep your feelings go.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

Sonnets are little jewels that sometimes
give us fits....You did well.  I enjoyed
this poem of love.

Lovely Sandra. If only all endings could be as happy as we write them. *hugs*

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?
