Refuge From All

I await the starkness of Wynter,
it's return, not too far off in the distant winds.
I feel it's chill ahead of schedule, though
this day is of record warmth.

I shall hibernate from hurt,
submit myself to darkness,
lay quiet, behind the scenes,
disturbing no one, nothing.

I await my time, when peace shall reign
and my thoughts will become still...
no wants, no desires...just a tender place
to seek refuge from all that overwhelms.

"The worst prison would be a closed heart".
...Pope John Paul II

Hibernation a good refuge, particularly with a warm reflective fireplace.

Storm clouds are already on the horizon here.  Even though it is in the 70's today...only 40 tomorrow.  Time to curl up by the fire and allow our muse to rest.
~hugs, Nancy~

You know, here it is windy and leaves are blowing,
but yes, I too am ready for winter and ready for the rest that comes with it.
For some reason, even though I hate cold weather, I'm welcoming it this year....

-befriend yourself and you will never be alone-

And I await for that too.....
I hope you'd have that refuge....

A very lovely well-done piece....

bulbs of bright lay hidden
soon to do Spring's bidding
reds and yellows will all come through
their fragrance shall reach to blue
Wynter is good for several things
sometimes just for the Peace she brings...
