There is a fork in the road
Which way should I go
Let me see
Which road is right for me

If I go left,
Can it be right
If I go right,
Can it be wrong

I'm terrified to forge ahead
What if I make a mistake, again
There is a fork in the road
Which way should I go

Which road is high
Which road is low
I've taken the wrong road
In my life before

It caused me much pain
I can't take anymore
I'm terrified to forge ahead
What if I make a mistake, again

If I do, I'd wish I were dead
But mistakes can be fixed
It's just knowing how and when

The strength to move forward
Is what I need
How can I gain the strength
To do such a deed

Ah yes, putting that "one foot in front of the other" syndrome is sometimes the only way to acquire the strength.  This poem likes me, because I've "been there!"

Thank you for this!

By having faith in yourself...knowing that
life is a never ending experiment.  Knowing
that no one has a book on how to do it right.
Knowing that you will live thru each trial.
That you will grow stronger.

This is such a reality for us all.  A very
nice poem.

I can totally understand what you are saying here. Even though I've never been married, I've been here many times too.

well, don't ask me which way to go, cause I am ALWAYS taking the wrong turn.
But you gotta go ahead and try, and if it's the wrong one, life will be happy to slap you in the head again.
Take care.

I'm at this crossroads right now in my life,  I only hope I make the right decision.
