Shy

When left alone I write a poem
When face-to-face I have no grace
I titillate a secret whim
But occupy a silent space.

I am a bore down to the core
Just ill at easy with shaky knees
My mind in store, quotes nothing more.
In people’s mote I simply freeze.

I do reach out, I almost shout
You see it clearly in my eyes
My voice goes in, instead of out
And no one hears my silent cries.

But I laugh and smile all the while
And listen everything that’s said
I nod my head with wisdoms guile
And often wish that I were dead.

I’ve built a dyke to hold the flood
And froze my feet in silent mud.

awww....Sy-babes...dont you know?
shy is soooo sexy

and as for that "bore to the core" line...
that one..I'll ignore and consider a conveinent rhyme
with all that wit and wisdom you store...
you could never be a bore...
and we KNOW Randy is dandy *L*
*winkiewinkie* me

This distance has shown how the road remains alone
Now I'm looking in my life ... for a truth that is my own.

Reminds me of a time in my life when I was really shy...not sure why but I do remember how angry I was being in that place and I became determined to change my behavior...
I am very up front and in your face now...James

James,
Everyone is shy sometimes and the other extreme is just as bad, I like the middle road.

Duncan,
A touch of shy is good. Thanks for the read and comment.

I'll meet you then ... for raspberry tea
We'll chit and chat ... just you and me
We'll brew in some jasmine ... why--we'll get high
Fly Randy cross the sky ... first promise me you wont be shy

I think we're all shy sometimes, I know I am. But you're right when you say we're not shy in our poetry. You can write things that you wouldn't say in person. No one ever saw my poetry before I came here cause I was too shy to share it.

Have you thawed with time? Interesting imagery. I remember long ago feeling like I was in quicksand, sinking out of sight, unable to reach out and talk, unable to grab hold of anyone I could even speak with. I'm glad I found some solid ground.

Suthern,
That's only face to face. Here I'm not shy in fact My alter Randy dragon often takes over. LOL *L*

Nancy,
As I said above, my Randy dragon is my other side or alter ego and there is nothing shy about Randy. In fact he is out now plucking daisies, of she loves me, she loves me not.
And if it falls on not He blows fire and smoke.
Thank you for the interest. *L*
