(This is rather childish, but sums up how I feel...thank you for reading!)

God wandered through a pumpkin
patch one day and came
across a pumpkin…..
one that had fallen from the patch.
In tenderness and care,
he brought it into his home,
washed away the dirt from all the other
pumpkins with his
loving hands.

He cut the top off and carefully
scooped
out all the seeds of doubt,
hate, anger, mistrust, worry
and fear.

And with his craftsmanship,
he carved a beautiful smile
on the face of it!

But he didn’t stop there.

He placed His light inside
for all the world to see
and more importantly,
than all of this-
He made the pumpkin a child again!

One that smiles and shines…….with love.

Fantastic! All the beautiful little pumpkin children, shining with love - you captured this perfectly.

The Lady of Shallot,

I did not find this childish at all. In fact quite the opposite. Very important message you have brought to life here. Thanks for sharing.

Dear Lady of Shallot - If you consider this write childish, well then, just wrap me up in a diaper and blankey and call me Babycakes!!! Enjoyed. Chris

This is so very sweet!

Poetry is an expression of feelings.  I do not write poems, but rather, the poems use me to write themselves.
