it is a rubber band,
this paradox called life
you stretch its neck
and the circle expands
then you release your grip
and it tightens it's hold

suddenly all around you is chilly and cold

perspective,
every wise man has his own,
but reality is more than a vision
there is a blur that surrounds
the ritual of waking up and going somewhere
and getting back home to have some rest

but, there is no rest, there is no turning away
you simply can't unscrew the bolts and expect
the frame to hang in its place
sedimented

you never get somewhere and back
it is always somewhere and beyond
destination is the horizon,
constantly changing

like seasons,
and reasons.

open the latch and let the fresh air come in
ah! its that winter air
time for coffee
reality strikes back

no wonder when someone like me
decides to write
all that comes out is a spiral
that winds and unwinds
meaninglessly

the noise of my sound is commotion

but, maybe there is a sense in nonsense
too

but,

I live in a locomotive breath
swish-swash, huff-puff,
breath in-out, inhale, ex-
hale,

hail! the ride of my life

yet,

"locomotive breath", title of a Jethro Tull song. Thanks to Ian Anderson and co. Great musicians.

This is just a 2 minute break for coffee between long hours of work. So forgive me if this wasted your time. Thanks again for all your support.

Sudhir,

Two mins huh? A poem with this much depth and meaning would take me at least a week or so to write and perfect. Great write.

Wasted our time? I think not. I am impressed that you could come up with such thoughts in two minutes. Nice way to unwind at work

If only I could pen in two hours what you pen in two minutes.

"you never get somewhere and back
it is always somewhere and beyond
destination is the horizon,
constantly changing"

So profound.

yes, sometimes scribbling thoughts at a fast rate help release unwanted energy caused by stress...

Thanks a lot for all your kind words, and please understand that 2 minutes or 2 hours or 2 weeks, they are all the same, as long as the thoughts appear in a written form. Each thought is deeply profound, and there is a comic nature to every profound thought as well.

You guys are the best. Thanks again.

Regards to all,
Sudhir

you're reaching deep for this one my friend. . . good. . . it's good to see you stretch like this. . . lots to think about here. . . and, of course, I love the line from Jethro Tull. . .

well done. . .
