I'm praying on my fingertips
that they find the words of lips
I'm mouthing prayer from brain to heart--
stone to flint in fire's spark--
my heart is dancing pirhouette--
rebirth of me within my chest!
I am, I am, so uncontained...
you touched me, I'm forever changed.
Your lips are liquid wax in melt
upon my breast, forever dwelt,
a tongue a touch of silken sable
writhing written, lovely fable...

Cursing corners, damn the winds...
damn the author--wrote us "friends"--
and damn the space between our touch--
a millimeter is too much...
I want, I need to inhale you
I need, I want you say it too...
Let me cradle your sweet head
as you nibble on my breast
moaning kisses on your brow
downy drift in drip of down.

All about you, is surprise.
Edges sharp were but disguise--
thorns in growth protecting rose--
and chiseled glass strewn on the road-
mere distraction, warts on toad...
I kiss you anyway. I KNOW.

I'd say I love you beyond death.
But one does not adore one's breath.
Just like the air from my first cry--
With you? There was no need to try.
I'll chart the notes of every sigh
and write the dirges of goodbye--
I'll pray for days so simple, planned,
we walk the streets hand held in hand...

I love you, love you, love you (twirl)
I feel like I'm a brand new girl
Love me? love me, love me (swirl?)
Kiss goodbye a dismal world.
I'll buy your brushes, mix your paint
and pose for you without restraint,
and you shall be my mental math--
you suffer patiently my wrath--
You are the ink upon my quill--
my soul's discovery of "still"...

Your arms diminish my forlorn.
Your arms around me silence storms.
You frighten me. Make me believe.
I want the fairytale. Don't leave?

WOO HOO Good morning girlie  *wink*
My goodness we are WELL inspired!!
(does he have a brother???)
Damn baby...this poem ROCKS!!!
I am sighing and holding my breath after reading this beauty...
you took the longing, the anticipation and the ache and wrapped them in rhyme divine
(and you danced) *S*
Me thinks this one should come with pretty blue flame warnings ...
or flame proof mascara ...
perfect poetry me twin
mothy me

This distance has shown how the road remains alone
Now I'm looking in my life ... for a truth that is my own.

Oh HOW do you keep doing this to me..Write exactly, exactly what I am feeling. Are we living parallel lives? I hope yours comes out better than mine..
Awesome, spectacularly romantic, whimsical, sexy, you have it all here.

Karen,

This is some of the best writing of yours that I've been privileged to read.  Incredible, amazing, just wonderful!

Oh Wow. This is an absolutely amazing piece. I am fast becoming a major fan of your writing. This just screamed out at me. I too have felt this, but I have never been able to write it as well as you do.

My Twin---you take me beyond words, because I know you understand me so well. Even thank you won't do...I love you my sister. Hugs? YEP. HUGS.

Noah...it's been said that we see in each other, mirrors of ourselve...and it's YOU, that has the beautiful shining heart! My most gracious gratitude to you.

Magnus? Methinks he wound my clock and THEN tripped my love trigger (gawd I LOVE that) and yes, it's like shelter from the storm...thank you my friend.

Startime, what a sweetheart you have been, and I thank you so much for your kindness. Every sweet reply these days is like rain in the desert....

Oh Sandra...for your sake? I hope we are NOT living paralell lives...sigh. I pray for you yanno. You deserve to smile often and widely.
Love to you, sweet one.

Michael, you are my dear friend, and if this were the mafia? You would know enough about me to be in danger---*wink*
Thank you my friend. You ARE loved.

Tracey? Laughing here..."you have to hit the button?" NOPE. Try the "love trigger".... (am I bad? I YAM.) winks and thank yous!

Whew! All this, and probably the fireflies flickering around you too. Burning up the pages, you are, and casting spells upon the land with the magical quill of serenity.
