The door closing with a gentle hiss,  motor whirring.
The sensual departure of a momentary love.
Sitting motionless, stunned, waiting for love’s return.
She is not there.

Countless times, returning, sitting, same route, so many tickets
Too familiar the musty smell of countless odors.
Fleeting bits of paper dancing across the floor, silence.
Hoping that love will return, will remember, will remain.

Lingering fragrance in the mind,
patiently  awaiting a physical view.
Silky elegance and flowing lines.
Curves of considerable beauty, unequaled form.
Flawless hands, nails that would teasingly taunt.

Waiting,  watching, wondering if she will.
Can a fleeting passionate moment be forgotten.
Tendrils of steam flowing up from the depths
Clickety clickety clack, the rail gaps wail under their load.
Last train before midnight returns, slows.
Doors open to the familiar hiss and whirr.

Sitting, cheeks flat and tired from the strain.
Shadow lengthening over me from behind.
Standing slowly, hoping,  turning toward the sound,
a sight, so elusive for many days.

She returns, knowing who we are to each other.
A penetrating, sensual stare, a visual aphrodisiac.
A slender, elegant hand grasping a worn bench rail
moving slowly toward me.  Calling me.

Hiss, whirr, the doorman calls.
A cooling empty bench, slightly warm, smiling.
Distant Love moves on into the tunnel of subway romance.
But not alone.

Magnus - Very descriptive and warm. I could feel the heat between these two lovers. Well done. Chris

*sigh* absolutely magical. Your pen weaves dreams, my friend, dreams we all love.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

What we would do if we did not have our dreams to help us through life.  Thanx
