Crazy, Want to go Along

I got it from my folks,
This going for a ride.
We did it fairly often,
Always sitting side by side.

We usually did it on a weekend,
They’d load the car and go.
Never knowing where we’d be going,
And most often driving slow.

To them it didn’t matter,
Whether we went east or west.
They were all grown up now,
And liked the riding best.

But when your three years old,
And your parents do you wrong.
A simple question gets you a…
Crazy, would you like to go along?

So on the next ride that we took,
Answers were not owed.
I said to dear sweet mom and dad,
Is this the crazy road?

~Laugh~ a lot on this one!....I swear we must have grown up along the same family tree. My parents and I with my two sisters and a Pekingese dog left Tennessee on a five day trip to California! Guess where I rode???? In the back of an Elcamino the entire way!!! True story and talk about the Beverly HillBillies! LOL! You bring back many unbelievable scenes in my life. Thanxxx!
