he walked in her life
toying with love and her heart
it is but a game

another score made
never minded her feelings
he’s just passing time
~*~
he just walked away
never looking behind him
his heart cannot see

his heart does not feel
not connected to his mind
the dead cannot see

A wonderful collection of Senryu's.? There seems to be alot of dead souls walking around, and yes they cannot see.

A great write Inteloper!
I enjoyed.

Interloper - A lovely, dark piece. Hauntingly familiar as if I have witnessed this scene. Perhaps I have. Chris

I knew a dead hearted man once...he is looking for someone to grow old with about now and there aren't anymore standing in line. You are so very exquisitly right! Bravo!

*sigh* this is the kind of man I am very familiar with. But now I am starting to learn not all men are like this. You have put it perfectly. Thank you.

yes, well, yes, this does happen. It can change a person's life completely. Very sad and very true, unfortunately....some heal and remember the feelings and pray they were real and all a person ever really knows is if there's were....or not....

Thanks to all of you for your comments and stopping by to read.  For those of you that know my work, this is a departure from the norm.  It was just on my heart after reading many works here with virtually the same subject.  Why is it that we, men and women, cannot or will not see or care that we are shattering someone's hopes, dreams, desires, wishes, and love when we pretend at caring?

Where has honesty and integrity gone?

This is sadly true for many whose hearts
certainly did not deserve the pain.  If only
all were treated as they desire to be.

Interloper--I guess the dark in life is there to help us see the light.  Interesting and thoughtful poem.

Very touching. These are the kind of men I have known. Sometimes, I wander, if they aren't all like this. Thank you for sharing this.

I enjoyed reading this excellent poem.

Interloper I have found that most of the women I have known like this were very up front about it...they did not pretend to be something they were not...and yet I ignored the obvious thinking things would change...and in fact they change very slowly...in most cases it takes years and years...all of us need to ask ourselves the question...are we willing to give years of our lives hoping someone will be what they are not when in fact they are exactly who they are...James

I missed reading this one the day it was posted. It is unconscionable to toy like this with another's heart and soul, and anyone who could do this better stay away from my heart.

Oh, my I am glad I wandered back a bit to find this. I wonder how people can not even see when they crush anothers heart and soul. And not care, either. You did these very well, with the exact feeling involved, on my part anyway.
