Many a mile his foot had trod,
from mountainous range to broken sod.
Times he won, times he lost,
more often than not, at bitter cost.
But there were the times he always kept,
Bringing forth dreams when he slept.

Dreams of times which were the best,
always overshadowing all the rest.
Those were the ones he carried on,
when another pathway called its song.
And then a crossroad would meet his feet,
and one would be there of his seek.

They would stop and rest, in meadow sweet,
to relive the times they did keep.
For the memories were always in the soul,
the love was shared as the ultimate goal.
Time stood still for a little while,
as they re-lived their trodden mile.

Dear Logan, pathways and crossroads.  Interesting twists and turns in our lives...never knowing where they may lead.  This is what makes it so wonderful....your poem as well as life.  This lifetime, as well as all the others, past and future.  Well done sir.

as they re-lived their trodden mile.

---------------------------

Roads...turns.....crossroads and pathways half trodden and others half hidden in mist. Life is just a mixture of all....

And you have expressed your "trodden mile" so wonderfuly and eloquantly....

Thank you

This distance has shown how the road remains alone
Now I'm looking in my life ... for a truth that is my own.

I admire you for only sharing the good.

Thank you for this tender inspirational reminder to pass on the best that we can.
