  ROOTS OF LOVE:
        PASSION

Summer's sudden passing
retains a lingering breeze:
leaves fall to rest gently upon dormant soil;
electric blue skies display new symbols:
v-shapes in white wings pointing south.
I wonder:  has this season's flow
of spring and summer love perished
or flown south also in migration?
Will it return with the sun of spring
when this land re-awakens another season?

Or is it that in every spring breeze
there is a rebirth of new love,
to grow and mature naturally
and blend once more within earth's soil
following autumn's sudden storms?

Deep within I seek the answer:
I search my face
in each moment of darkness faced,
in each fear overcome,
in every footstep walked on barren ground,
in every sound of mocking laughter –
What do I see?
I see the time I allowed passion
to grow powerfully within my heart,
enriching my earth roots
as if I too were a seasoned tree.

That is what keeps my love
alive, renewed, vibrant
through each change of season.
For once I sought love for its own sake;
now love is what I AM.

Your roots of love surely run deep, WindWalker. Each spring to burst forth with renewed life. As these days of autumn shorten your roots rest in the love that is you. Well said.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.
