Secret Lover - A duet written with my icq buddy, Rob. (who claims NOT to be a poet, by the way)

His heart is his gift to her,
it sits there upon his sleeve.
He could give the world to her
if only she would believe.

She doesn’t have to say it
and he often wonders why
she can tell him she loves him
with just the wink of her eye.

He’s cradled her soul,
touched her heart somehow
and made her dreams
so much sweeter now.

What is it she sees in him?
Showing him off to her friends.
He's no more than other men,
smiling he wonders again

She knows how much he loves her
though she’s his secret lover.
She dreams about their future,
the day they’ll be together.

Wanting to hold her so tight
and make love to her just right.
Only one thing left to fight,
when it’s her day it’s his night

I wish you every happiness and may you always have the best of the good things in life.     a brand

Tell Rob I said hes a poet
cadence kissed gem of heart here Dee-girlie
those last two lines tug at the heart...
Best of luck to the both of you..
it makes me smile to see you happy and inspired

This distance has shown how the road remains alone
Now I'm looking in my life ... for a truth that is my own.

Hope, it is sad in a way that many can relate.  The distance of an online relationship can be hard.
As for Rob from Gosford...are you gonna introduce me?

I loved writing this with Rob and even though he can't reply (as he isn't a member) I want to tell him something.
Rob, thank you for humouring me and giving this a go. I loved writing this with you and hope we can do it again soon. Thank you sweetheart.
