The sky now a frozen fiery opal
Dark clouds slivered the horizon
She cradled her bread as if an infant
Heading back through the fall infestation

Upwards she climbed back into her nest
Tossing keys and shedding on the hall table
She created a sandwich, Dagwood would adore
Her image in the hall mirror bore comfort

Admiring herself with the holly still present
In locks of raven hair, that spiraled
Like melting licorice, flipping on Yanni
Filling the empty ceilings acoustical

The only light was the Dragon Fly
Cast by her antique Tiffany lamp
The room drenched in shades of honey
She dined, until the bursting of white

The laser like glow of an eerie current
Rose her to seek the source of burn
It laced the room in a summer sheer of day
Feeling as if morn had just crowed awake

But the clock handed her a dark hour
She drew to the window squinting
By the cheek solar heat to see
Her Stranger standing just below her

All things sparkled like that of wet
The streets, the cars, the sidewalks
Yet they were as dry as flannel cotton
Surely her window panes played tricks!

There before her on an autumn evening
A scene was staged to bewilder
Coming from the center of His heart
An explosion of ethereal brilliance

With a wave of his hand he disappeared
Leaving her filtered with the blueness
Of a neon moon that hung like a tea cup
Spilling black light into her vespertine

Wonderfully painted filled with the gift of story telling and the images of a poet. You dear lady...have a talent few possess...the ability to string together a series of poems..telling a story with each as captivating as the first. my hat is off...not only to the lady...but the poet that shares with us such wonderful works...

You are creating a story with a talent that all the Ladies are most envious of - so keep them coming....

don't know if you saw my wave
could you see me smile

I must hurry now
leaving you to your own thoughts
but I shall return

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.
