Listening to every heart

0 posted 2001-10-17 09:22 PM

September come November

thus, self forbidding
mizzle to befriend me
in those years paled hoary
there appears an unoccupied
interim of time
where coming aware
splinters of having
lost my way

recall of déjà vu eviscerates,
something potent
gnaws, walls
between then and now
sheer only to opaque,

senility will most likely
clarify what
motions were made, for
snapped memories color decades,
but eye’s grit decrees absence

two fingering dimensional
images does not make
them warm for a second time

I would be a girl again, if
doing so meant mother’s
lap should hold shed
sentiments or
father’s shirt would
gather denimed memories
and clouded outbursts

perhaps once this
decade is fulfilled, I shall
see Octobers again
warming to those days between
September come November
when pain will ease

perhaps once this
decade is fulfilled,

perhaps, once

perhaps

(big hugggssssss) Oh, sweet Karilea, I know just how you feel; I am turning 18 in eleven days, and every September I always feel depressed when looking back in my boyhood sorrows, and how I'd love to sit in my parents laps again and talk the hours away! (big hugggssssss) My heart is always with you, dearest friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet sunshine, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

An emotion packed poem that had me nodding my head in understanding. I know these feelings well and you have put them to verse in such a way that I can't help but see you too feel these things and hope. Very well done.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

Ah, I am young still (not that young I suppose..a month until official adulthood), but I can relate to this.  You've evoked a poignant emotion, I love your imagery, it is excellent!  I truly enjoyed the read.

Oh but I love your memories, even the painful ones, for they are "family" and I loved these lines Sunshine:

doing so meant mother’s
lap should hold shed
sentiments or
father’s shirt would
gather denimed memories
and clouded outbursts

Beautiful!

Sunshine-
   Much emotion in this one.
It reached in and touched my heart.
