Traversing the pathway of life two walking together.
Skipping over cracks, stones,  occasional large rocks.
Keeping foot time to a musical melody of life.
Seeing all of the wonderful things we have.

Wandering along, talking about past times.
Remembering all of the wise and not so wise choices.
Smiling at the funny events, silly things said, remembered.
Keeping life’s journal locked away in two hearts.

Crying an occasional shared tear over family matters.
Worrying about where your life, you are headed.
Thinking how to make struggles go away, remain there.
Knowing that in the end, all will work out, somehow.

Loving deep over many years of sharing, laughing.
Still attracted by a powerful flame burning bright.
Fanning the flames on  flings  shared by two as one.
Smiling as both lie awake, holding close, soft.

Living in an existence requiring great commitment.
Where feelings are shared, felt, given freely.
Knowing that harsh words are spoken only briefly
That true love softens them, erasing with time.

Still walking and skipping, the rocks are smaller.
The steps no longer springy as once was ago.
The commitment ever strong and devoted
For down life’s path, two in love go freely.

Thanx Dee....This woman has graced me with
her presence for a very long time.  She
has walked all of our roads beside me, no
matter the turbulence or bumpiness.  I
am grateful to her for that.
