On A Journey To The Unknown

0 posted 2001-10-17 10:51 AM

She moved so far away
I wrote to her each day
She never would write back
That was a real true fact.
I use to cry alot
With her in my thought.
To pick up a pen
I didn't think was a sin
Years and years went by
Alot of times, I did cry
Why didn't she love me
I loved her, you see
After all these years
My eyes still fill with tears
I realized I just wasn't, good enough
My heart has turned real tough
Accepting that we'd never be
As close as my brother and me
I finally just gave up
Sitting here, sipping from my cup.
But, she’s still my little sister.

SmartChick,
Not so smart, some things take longer than others. Just let them be. Enjoyed the read

Sue, This is very very sad.  I have one little sister...no brothers, no other siblings.  Just she and I...There's just the two of us really left in the family now as our parents and so on are gone.  There is a bond there that neither distance nor disagreements can sever.  I do hope and pray it works out one day for the two of you.  Life is too short!  ~hugs, NancyLee~

I don’t think you should stop writing to her,
Or stop loving her either,
It’s one of those things that you should do,
Not for the return letter or responding love,
But because that’s what you should do.

Never stop your heart.

SmartChick - I am "the little sister" and we can be neglective of others needs, especially in our own family. The love is always there...we just need a bit of a soft kick in our "little sisters butt." Good luck to you. This is well written, Chris

SmartChick~
I read this earlier today ... and the tears came,
so I closed it without replying~
Now I'm back~

'But, she’s still my little sister.'

A very wise person once told me,
'Love is ours for GIVING ... if we get something BACK from it ... then won't that be just wonderful ?'

I've always been the 'mother-hen' where my family is concerned ...
and I've never, ever regretted it for a moment.

Don't give up ...
keep reaching in for the strength to keep reaching out~

SmartChick-
This is such a heart-wrenching write.
Just keep on loving her, and I'll be
praying that someday she will realize
what a treasure she has in you.
   Hugs,
   ~Vicky

I have two wayward little sisters...one lives 4 Minutes from my house. I get to see them maybe twice a month. They are so special to me...but they are also very self centered....so I have to round them up every once in a while for a Sister's night out. We have a blast. I half raised them so I know that you just have to yank a knot in their tails and start swinging sometimes. I never regret (forcing) myself on them LOL! And I believe you should send this poem to her. Don't give up...You are the big Sis!
