A Poem For Serenity

one never knows how one has lived
until one bear grief’s loss
nor never knows how much one gives
until someone tallies cost

if I were to tat each toll
of all been given me
in repay I’d strive each day
though never an end would see

so to thee, I give my best
though weary you may be
in the dark, I will caress
thy heart, with tranquility

Lady...tho intended for Sen...i will inhale thy tender wisdoms as well...
I needed this today, more than even I realized till I read it...
so I too will thank you for your poetic grace and intentions.

This distance has shown how the road remains alone
Now I'm looking in my life ... for a truth that is my own.

I think it says, "A Poem For SERENITY", and although it may have been directed to Serenity, I took it as a piece of serenity for myself as well on a day where it was much needed.  Thank you Lady In White.

You know, I didn't even have the heart to read today...and then I pop in and see this...I thank you so much, and am very glad that it helped so many others too. Lady? I think some healing has begun in my family. My mother actually had an entire conversation yesterday, and she could actually speak of my Dad without crying. I thank you all so much! This place should be renamed Compassions in Poetry!!!! A million times I thank you, and ALL OF YOU for your prayers and kindness. HUGS
