A time of silence echoes in the rising mist
the heart pales like a withering summer rose
beneath the morning dew
as visions of goodbye
become a final curtain call
glazed in clouds of remembrance
of a certain smile, a certain touch
carved deep in the stone of sorrows soul
a secret prayer becomes the heartbeat of hope
surely, one day we’ll study war no more
but find peace on heavenly shores

I think all of us are praying for that now. If only this world was a little more perfect it would be possible. All we can do is pray and keep our faith strong. Thank you for sharing this beautiful heartfelt poem.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

We know that shores of peace are waiting there for us and that is certainly something to look forward to, but of course there are those that need one such as yourself to teach this to ......SOOOOOOOOO, you know what that means, don't ya.    Very well expressed my friend and very peaceful in it's message and promise.  Thank you for always shining a light this way.
