Dear Lorelei wants a kitty
Ole LJA says No
I think that we should take a vote...
And tell him who says so!

*giggling* you have my vote, Lorelei...mmmmm I wonder if a little sensually, tender attention can convince your pirate to give you a little kitty. Make him purr and he may soften that fake hard line he loves to give us.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

My daughter has two kittens that are looking for happy homes right  now - I think that LJA should certainly say yes... yes, yes, yes...

I have great faith in you - You KNOW how to handle that scalawag...

I heard a bit of wailing
but it came not from a kitty
what's this - great cries from Long John
let's not give him ANY pity!

All in favor of sweet Lorelei
all give a shout "A Cat! Say Aye!"

There'll be no fear of retribution
for we'll all give contribution
of a kittie, two, three or more
LJA'd best bar the door!

The kitties will be hanging 'round
he'll see them up, he'll see them down
on his bed, his couch, you'll see!
you'll be indulged with little kitties!

Here's my vote, I've got but one!
You'll have your kitties before this is done!

Lor, just remind him of the inspiration this kitty will provide for his kitty-kicking poems... that ought to do it. *G* Although, knowing that he's basically an ole softie... he may be scared he'll love it so much his kitty-kicking days will be kaput? *G*

As for my vote: Just to keep the sailor hopping... get THREE kitties! *G*

I already have a kitty, she's really quite devine,
She's soft and she's lovable, nearly all the time.
I couldn't share my affection with the one who's mine,
The lovable sweet kitty I married on Valentines.

So go ahead you ladies, and vote Yes for Lorelei,
But remember without all her petting, I will surely die,
And a kitty around the house will be the reason why,
My romantic poetry will be from the by and by.

I'm not the kind of pirate given to begging for a break,
But I'm begging all you ladies to please do it in this case.
Vote NO to Lorelei's request, don't side with her mistake,
And if you do I promise that I will be your mystery date.*

*Time and place to be arranged by Lorelei, of course.

Your husband doesn't like kittys!

Oh my, there's a line in there somewhere
Yes, by all means indulge her, go on, make her smile, you'll never regret it.  This could be an exciting new adventure for you!

or the kitty, depending on the fate you have in store for it!!!

Dear LngJhnAg I'm with you here
And I Ain' Miss Behavin' dear

But I vote no - No kitty cat
Though Lorelei will not like that

For if she has a feline pet
Far less attention you shall get

She'll play with kitty day and night
And you'll be kicking left and right

You say you'll be my mystery date?
Dear LngJhnAg I just can't wait

My daughter recently talked my husband into letting her have a kitten, It was a long tough battle, but, he is her favorite person and he loves her. Tell him to give it a chance, they are not all snooty, and kittens are so darn funny when they play he will come around in no time.
good luck.....

ya know, shhhhh, you could always bring one home and tell him you found it one the roadside.....

Poetic verse nestled in the warmth of my heart, reveals the sweet yearnings of my soul....

Well, it looks like the vote is my favour,
I actually see ole LJA starting to waiver.
He's seeing the wisdom of our friends here many,
And threating to get me if I tell any.
So, I'll just have to figure a sneaky way,
To tell you if it's a special kitty getting day.

Love to you all..and THANKS (except Pandora and Nan..but love ya anyways, too)

Lil Lorelei is getting her way,
So I'm here feeling the blues.
While she gets her cat on your OK
I'll be donning my cat-kicking shoes.

The cat will be a pirate's mate,
She'll sail o'er the bounding main.
Yes.  Sailing will be her fate.
My kitty kickers will strike again!

But, alas, my Lorelei intercedes,
It will be a cold winter, she states,
If my kitty kickings don't cease
I'll be sleeping on our city's grates.

I'm now happy I have so many friends,
People who are always on my side,
Who will be kind and not rub it in
When congratulating sweet Lorelei.

My dearest sweet Lorelei -

It's not the asking that makes me spend,
It's not tradition and all that.
It's your love that'll make me befriend
Your future kitty cat.

LJA---Why do you think only women will vote yes to Lorelei's kitty?  You've just got to get to know cats.  I have one that retrieves, just like a dog.  Some cats are very cool.
Lorelei---At least get a male kitten, ok?  That might make it a little easier for him.  I recommend either yellow tabby of solid black.  Though, there's a really cute little grey tabby with white feet living under the deck where I work that really needs a good home.  I'll pay all postage...???

Duncan...the kittie will be male for sure..I used to have a Siameese cat (Imhotep) who would play fetch, jump into my arms...and slept on top of my head..he was a charm.  I'm hoping for another Siameese...thanks for your vote of confidence..

I once saw an ad in a newspaper true story, it said wanted good home for male roughly 27 years old potty trained and likes to cuddle

any way a wife was actually ""selling"" or giving away her husband because she wanted the cat to stay he didnt,  on the next page it said CAT WON LOL I dont think she actually gave her husband away, but maybe you get the point??

funny story, hope you WIN!!
