Where My Mind Goes

I find it amidst the blue sea,
waves slapping the shore
Sands shine golden under bare feet
craving this world explore

I breathe deep of the ocean air,
as sweet winds caress me
Soaking in the warmth of the sun
a place where I am free

I spread my arms to the winds of time
leaving the past behind
Wrapped in the mysteries of life
with open questing mind

Soaring into realms of magic
where true love freely grows
Designed by fantasy is this
island where my mind goes

Startime - Ahh yes, haven't we all gone places like this in our fantasies? You've written this very well indeed. Chris

sunshinemist.....I do not live by the sea now but I miss it dearly...it even now inspires me. Someday I plan to return to live by the sea again. Thank you, so much, for your comment.

arthur....*grin* sure, this island is big enough for everyone....just have to bring your imagination with you.

Joyce....no, not surprised at all...I am glad you like the poem. Thank you for the nice comment.

Hope....*sigh* oh yes we both love the sea...it is so soothing to the spirit. Thanks, dear one, for your comment.

MyEnchantedMelody....*sigh* oh yes, just the thing for us all. Both soothing to our minds and spirits. Thank you for your comment.

Marge....you are so very welcome. I love to write of the ocean and this is a reflection of what I like to feel to give me peace. Thank you, so much, for your comment.

Duncan....thank you, very much. A refreshing dip would be just perfect.

Nightshade....yes, we all have our special places like this. Thank you, so much, for your comment.

JamesMichael....*sigh* sounds just perfect...romance, now that is the key to my heart and an island in the ocean is a dream come true. You are so blessed to know of such a place.....*sigh* romance...romance...romance....and warm nights filled with the romantic sounds of the surf...*sigh* now you done it..you have gone and got me dreaming....and such a wonderful dream it is too....thank you.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.
