An Old Women and Older Gent

Still holding hands though withered be
They walk in love that’s plain to see
And talk of things of now and then
And wink and smile of where and when.

The blush of youth has gone to seed
But blush of youth they have no need.
Still holding hands though withered be
They walk in love that’s plain to see

To others they are old and bent
Older women and older gent
Slow deliberate, in their walk
But sprite and lively in their talk

They’ve hung their tree of destiny
With children, grand and great grand free
A treasure full of freedoms gold
They might be old but surely bold.

I would say they wrote their dyne as
Fine as the finest poets line.

*sigh* true love is sharing these things. You are truly blessed with a love that all of us desire in out deepest souls. BRAVO!!!!I love this wonderful poem.

Dear Seymour, how lovely this is. Reminds me of the elderly couple who lived just across the street from me. I used to love seeing them walk together hand in hand or sit together on their front steps smiling into one anothers eyes. They are gone now, but not forgotten, nor will be this poem. Chris
