Holy Queen Sea
and
Mother of the Oceans
flow through our lives
with your rains of life
and cover us with
the gifts of your seas

remind us that
the blue of the seas
the ebb and the flow of them
are like the waters
of our birth
full of warmth and life

speak to us now
bless us with your being
and grant to us
balance in our lives

Note: Yemana is the Santeria Goddess of the Oceans.  Daughter of the earth Goddess Oddudua.  Mother of the 14 gods and goddesses that make up the pantheon on the Santeria religion.

Santeria came from the Yoruba religion practiced by African slaves who were brought to Cuba in the 19th century.  They mixed their traditions with Roman Catholic teachings to develop Santeria.

The seas, the tides that flow from then
are so much a part of our lives.....Many
millions of words have been written about
these things.  About our oceans and the sea.
Thank you for this read.  A very reflective
poem.
