ahh..this has a bit in places that only my Warrior might get glimpses of and understand.   To him I say..thank you for the hope, Sweet One.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm jumpy when you walk by
Friendly famine, poet's sky.
I'm jumpy when you say you're here
Friendly famine, these, my tears.
I'm quivery when you say hello,
Friendly, you, I'm giong slow.
Lets take these masks of distance off
As restless smiles still are soft.
The wind is here to say goodbye
Softly with words, do I reply?
What of the wind that raps at my door
imploring me to join it today.
It longs to lift my hair in jest
and smile again as it releases.
Why can't cold weather be on a day
when I am not just waking up to it?
Why can't its fingers hold me like they used to
when a mere child shivered beneath fur in awe.
Did I say goodbye to pain?
In some childhood memory, forgotten rain?
Did I endeavour to attend
My deepest fears as I lost my friends?
Did my soul get weary
Lost and drifting, am I dreary?
Am I failing in even this
Attend my spirit, poetry's kiss.
Here I sit shivering in the comfort of morning
as my hands should do some mundane chore
but what can I do when the words conquer me?
They, at will, seize my poor hands
and chain me deep inside myself
forcing me to dirty myself
on the inward ground that I left abandoned.
There is a necessity in this
as the Sweet One usually tells me.
And although my moments of weakness
are usually human ones
I don't seek solitude and acceptance in excuses.
These weaknesses will see the glint
that tips my blade in the shine of triumph.
What blade?
why, hope and acceptance of course.
Sometimes the heart needs the solace of solitude and silence.
Know that the cold is necessary else the warmth lacks meaning and lonely moments make those joined all the more glorious. The crazy world is a tightrope, the soul and it's yin and yang a balancing act on either the wailing wall or that of the great wall. Either way enjoy the view for it will change.
The beauty and vision of this poem touches all who read it. Not a ramble but words that paint the picture of your heart. Absolutely beautiful.
Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.
Temptress--You have reached very deep to find these words written with the soul's pen.  I see the search and finding in your words.
I wish that I was as coherent in the morning!!
wonderfully done my friend. . . there's a depth here that I'm beginning to see come out more and more. . . and that's a good thing. . .
MORNING? as in "daylight" morning???  (serenity shivers and draws the curtains even tighter...)
And not so much a ramble as a symphony of thought, dearheart!   and alas, I heard every note all too clearly (as you know I know---grin...) beautiful portrait of your heart!
Ahh, gentle one..very gentle smile, the blade of hope and acceptence is like the blade of the surgeon which cuts away the things that poison us. Then the new grows back good and strong and one day we are whole again...very nice write of thoughts and feelings, gentle one
