The Miracle of Forty-Five

You sailed before the wind with me
In spirits air before the sea
A sea of dreams and colored skies
That stayed within my dreamers’ eyes.

Three years I held this ghost in view
With only dreams to make it true
Three years I let this phantom sail
Your only sense a ghost of Braille

This Braille allowed my sanity
It took away calamity
You dwelled within my very soul
And promised me I’d reach my goal.

My wish to hold you in my arms
Your flesh your bones your ethereal charms.
To kiss me into ecstasy
And finalize the fantasy.

It did come true in forty-five.
And we’re still here and still alive.

And still writing amazing poetry Sy!  Wonderful cadence and rhyme as always ... it's such a treasure to read the flow through your words. Beautiful reminisence in this lovely piece.

Best wishes,

In spirits air before the sea
A sea of dreams and colored skies

*sigh* I love it when a man writes of his beloved. This is so tender and filled with such a gentle and true love. From me it rates a STANDING OVATION!!!Love like this that endures the test of time is the very soul of what true love really means. BRAVO!!!

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.
