Emotions are smoke,
Grasped best when sleeping,
Then caught with pen stroke,
Ink on paper for keeping.

Dreams drift into my waking,
Thoughts like smoke,
Emotions there for taking,
If only captured by pen,
Words like smoke,
Quickly drifts before I send
Them to paper so to hold,
Drifts away,
So half written I do fold
Placing under my pillow,
In the day,
Hope to finish tomorrow.

Gloom

Words are like the elusive smoke, indeed, and sometimes, most times, it is just like this...

What a wonderful way to put it. I can sometimes see them drifting away on the slightest breeze just out of my reach. BRAVO!!!This is unique and very well said.

Your work is always strikingly sad, but very good in my opinion. I loved this, especially the ending. :-)
