Why?  Why must I sit, waiting for you to come?
How many beats of my heart must my soul endure?
What keeps my touch from experiencing your softness?
I wait.

I think of this morning, of the warmth of you beside me.
I still smell the fragrance on a lonely pillow next to mine.
A single hair left unconsciously, calls me to be touched.
Your toothbrush, wet, says you have been here.

Lipstick on a glass, fingerprints of two hands, wine shared.
Ashes of a roaring fire, kindling the desires we had.
Lace panties lying beside a bath, knowingly left behind.
My mind sizzles with the thought of each moment.
Sleek curves made for racing, for lingering on at each stop.
I wish to race again.

I wait for the door to smoothly open with a whisper.
I yearn for the feel of your hand in mine.
I taste the softness of your kiss, lingering.
You have left a trail of love in my heart. I’m lost.

I watch a blank television screen, my finger will not move.
I hear only your sighs whispering in my ears.
My tongue torments me without your taste.
My hunger grows within my every cell.

Do you understand who you are to me?
Can you ever know how much you have affected my life?
Will you always in my life be?
Can I hold in my arms this night?

This is so well expressed, if only you knew how it speaks of my yearning right now!

Take care,
Melissa~

Melissa....I do understand....otherwise I
would not write these words with so much
feelings that can be enjoyed as much as
I do writing them

How romantic. Beautiful words for a beautiful feeling, that of being in love and waiting the hours until we see them again.

Yep...this is It, Mag!

All of the longing the bliss the feeling of something missing and I did love THIS line:

"My tongue torments me without your taste."

Absolutely beautiful.
