How sweet it must be,
Lingering of he and she,
With the lips caress.

I was there,
Since I had to be some where,
Just strolling,
Thoughts rolling,
Like mist coming from the bay,
Edge of light
Almost night,
Before the sun went away,
I say them
In the dim,
I attempted not to stare,
Not to care.

How long had it been,
The exchange of her and him,
While their lips caress.

They kissed to the end of day,
In the dark,
T’was a gentle lovers way
Exchanging physically
In the park,
Given emotionally
Freely for all to witness,
Their intent
So all could not have missed,
Then left the lonely behind,
And they went,
Missing kissing on my mind,
In the dark.

To where did they flee,
Taking passions that would be,
Lips like souls caress.

Gloom

I can feel the loneliness in and yearning in this poem. This is a feeling I know well. You have written this very well. *sigh* it would be much nicer to be taking part in the kiss instead of watching it.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

Bah, humbug. Nothing worse than watching others in love, when we're not. No, just kidding....well....sort of!!!   Seriously, this is a very touching write, I could picture the whole scene in my minds eye. Beautifully done Professor

Ah, and if Professor Gloom changed his name for a day to Professor Bliss, would he perhaps be the one receiving that enviable kiss?  Just a thought.

LOL at Midnitesun!  Gloom, this was a picture I still have in my head as I write this, and one I have seen in real life as well, and you did it so well, I almost turned away, (but then I couldn't read) .  Well done.

Me thinks you might be right Midnitesun!
Good writing though, Professor, with great imagery.
Enjoyed, ~Nancy~

I can feel the peacefulness of the park,
the romance between two lovers showing
the world their love.  A very enjoyable
read,  though a little lonely.

Oh yes this is nice...in some countries in Europe they are much more open about romantic kissing in public...I love to kiss at the mall when I'm with someone special...James

Thank you, Startime,
I am pleased my writing skills,
I feeble as they are,
Were able to convey something you could enjoy,
And I am sure it would have been better to be part,
Not watching.

Thank you, Tracey,
If I can not feel, at least I can see,
Glad my writing let you see also.

Thank you, Lady of Shallot,
Pleased you enjoyed.

Thank you, Midnitesun,
“But a rose by any other name”

Thank you, Mysteria,
That was how I watched,
wanting to turn from that which I had not,
but unable.

Thank you, Enchantress,
Pleased you enjoyed.

Thank you, Mangus,
Thus is my life, watching while lonely,
I am glad you enjoyed.

Thank you, JamesMichael,
Different places have different customs,
But emotions are universal.
It all goes back to how we were raised.

My goodness, you expressed this so well, I could picture every movement and caress...this was so sensually beautiful, it's going straight into my library.
And, believe me, I know how it feels to watch others in love and feeling alone, but, at least this awesome poem was born out of it!

Take care,
Melissa~
