A goddess stands in search of love
Gentle breezes caressing golden hair.
Toes daintily tickled by lapping waves.
Searching for a lover’s call from afar.

Across the distance of the waves
a young man stares toward a distant shore.
Breezes flowing through the soul
He waits for a most joyful and sensual sight.

Minds becoming one, calling over the seas
Waiting for the response of a distant lover.
Calling anxiously, listening for a word.
Both stand at ocean’s edge, toes tickled by salty hands.

A gentle sigh as each waits for the words of love.
Two hearts waiting for an answered call.
Thinking of only the other as each waits.
Yearning for the touch of a gentle embrace.

I.....a single word heard by two minds, anxious.
Only....hearts pound as the next is anticipated.
Love....sighs audibly heard as hearts pound.
You....A smile, a tear escapes, standing still.

Distant loves depart the sea, satisfied for now.
Anxiously awaiting the next sun’s set.
A treasured moon passing through cotton skies.
Two shadows fade into a cool night.
Love awaits the falling of a golden sun.

This is just delightful!   For some reason, these days I have the ease of mind to read love poetry and not make a sour face!

Would this not make the most beautiful sentiment in a card!!!!! The whole poem was moving but this verse just pulls you in. I want them to find each other....

They may find each other...The pen strokes
the words from the mind and heart.
