My eyes have seen beauty beyond description.
My lips have tasted the finest wines of passion.
My hands have touched flesh and skin of perfection.
My heart has loved a thousand times.

I weep because I have not loved more than just a moment.
A mere second of time in an endless universe.
Memories occupying only a thimble of space, captured
in a tortured mind.

Desperate for love, desperate to be loved, to be missed.
To have arms around me as I am kissed.
To experience the warmth of another lying beside me.
To be able to reach out, feel the smoothness and warmth.
To sleep peacefully, resting in arms of another.

Screaming sounds of silence uttered from parched lips.
Dry eyes that no longer cry tears of sadness and loss.
Dreams that are empty, of despair, no hope.
My heart beat futile, filled only with emptiness.

I wake to sounds of singing birds and gentle breezes.
Things that remind me of another time and place.
I go out upon the place of life, I am alone in a crowd.
I cannot sit, for I still feel the fragrance of you there.

Pictures smile at me, I cannot smile back, they are not you.
Eyes say hello as they pass by, I look down, I cannot see.
Arms brush me, I cry inside because it is not you.
When will I ever live love again, will you be there.
Will I?

If the angels came to me and said,
"Here are the keys. Heaven awaits."
If your hand were not in mine?
I'd tell them, "Just let Heaven wait.
For there is no paradise
with half of me earthbound.
And I would wait eternally
until I knew that you'd been found."

Hope ya don't mind? you inspired me...

Ah the blissful agony of love...well done poet!!!

JM...thrills me to have others appreciate
words that I have tried to so intensely and
passionately put down with my pen....Guess
that means my barometer is reading right.
Thanx.

poetic feelings gives me much of what I
desire....and you have put a tiger in my
