*this is a bit different for me, well sort of any way lol. It isn't personal at any rate  just what came from a song......

He held me like it was forever
then turned and said good-bye
he moved with purpose
but came running back
for one last kiss
promised
he’d never forget ~
and forever ~
would miss
I counted every tear
as they fell
one by one
to the floor
and with a pain
I’ve never known
watched him walk out the door
and as my heart was breaking
then and there
I made a vow
once again I’d see him
I just don’t know  when
I don’t know how
if only I could have loved him longer………..
if only he weren’t so far way…………
if only he knew I loved him………..
if only I had the words to say………
if only is a wish
made much too late
you can never change what is meant to be
you can never alter fate.

It may not be personal, Sea, but it is very, very true.....

Nicely said.

"If only"...doesn't that say it all?  Wonderful work as usual, Susan.   (((hugs)))

Susan, how many times have each one of us said those words...if only...?
This is so tender and oh,
you know me and the romantic ones!

IF only I had been here many months before.
IF only I had known you before I shut the door.

IF only your words were not so very true.
IF only your talent were not darn good.
Thanx for a good reflective poem.

Susan,

Personal or not...this was lovely,
but then again your work always is

Very beautiful indeed hon!

Take care.

But you can hope for new and better experiences...sometimes we get stuck in a fantasy thinking somethings that happened in our past were better then things that can happen to us today or tomorrow...not saying they weren't enjoyable experiences...just saying life holds lots more for us...James

Well, it may not have been personal to you, but it sure sounded personal to me!!lol. it sounds like something I could have written. For something that didn't come straight from your heart, it sure sounded sincere.
