Sitting at the kitchen table tonight
Lost in thought, she daydreams for a moment or two
Moonlight streaming in the window nearby
She dreams of all she still wants to do

Young in spirit, alive at heart
She knows she's found true love...long last
But for a moment she sits this evening
As she reminises about her past

She's taken a trip down lover's lane
A time or true, its true
But for every love that didn't last
The love inside her heart just grew

She closes her blue eyes for a second
As a small smile appears across her face
She realises as she sits there tonight
That she has finally found her place

Things may not be perfect
But tell me what in this life is
Except maybe for the feeling in her heart
When she's received her lover's kiss

Never for a moment
Would she trade the memories of yesterday
But finally on the horizon of tomorrow
She's found a love to stay

Many tears this woman has cried
There have been laughs of joy too
She's sacraficed and taken what life has to offer
She dreams of what she can do

Her future is bright and shining
This love is for the taking
All she has to do is reach out and grab it
Her life is in the making

But yes for a moment tonight
She shall let the past wash over her soul
As the daybreak of tomorrow comes rolling in
She at long last...feels whole

"I could kiss you in
the rain forever.
Turn all of your pain to pleasure
Fill up your days with
sunlight, make the
passion last every night"
