I.

An energetic child
always goes to sleep;
Can’t choose the hour,
but rest assured
of exhaustion’s constant creep.

II.

Across the setting sun,
tired dust drifts to darkness.
The month of rain is past,
no more evening circus shows
nor summer’s broken hearts;
The brilliant yellow flower’s gone.
