She sails silently in the blue and grey
Like Van Gogh on a summer's day
This ship adrift outside the bay
Unable to find safe harbor
Turned away at the crowded docks
Too many souls adrift at once
Seeking only smiles of love
and a place to call home,
not wanting to forever roam
'round the earth
like flotsam and jetsam.
Not enough safe harbors
anymore.

Saunni, may you find your safe harbor, and sail back to us when the seas are smoother.

Without the experiance of love where would we be? We would have no memories to cherish.
With love it brings hurt with hurt bittersweet memories.

Thank you for reading, Heather. I am really going to miss Saunni, whose poetry I just came to know a few days ago.

I believe you have done well.  I don't feel
comfortable with critique as much as I feel
comfortable saying that it makes sense,  it
carries a message,  the poem shows feelings
and conveys them well.

Rose Petal, Sven, Magnus, Greeneyes: Thanks for reading this. I hope you all have read Saunni's goodbye poem. She is apparently on a quest to rediscover and redefine her purpose in life, and feels it is best not to post at this time in her life. I hope she comes back soon, I barely 'met' her last week through her poetry, here at piptalk.

Saunni's poem is entitle "My Last Walk In The rain" and posted late at night 10/11 or early AM on 10/12/01.
