                                      The Alphabet’s Primary Colors

From pillowed sleep
my eyes opened
as your warm hand
landed softly
in the center of my back

                                                                   traces of "G"
                                                                   could be felt
                                                                   did it stand for
                                                                   good, or God

I lay quietly
not moving

                                                                    then a sense that
                                                                    "I" followed, a strong
                                                                    finger down the center
                                                                    and two bars, a top
                                                                    and a bottom, across...

who did the I stand for?

                                                                    slowing, sleep still
                                                                    languid in the feel,
                                                                    "F" appeared, and
                                                                    with it the thought of
                                                                    fool, or faith,

and it circled
drawing the outlines
of pleasure on
a blank mind
waiting….

                                                                     then a "T", not
                                                                     for tomorrow, but today
                                                                     ending the spelling
                                                                     lesson

no numbers to follow
the colors painted
reflecting morning hues

                                                                     the color of love
                                                                     began again

with thanks to my muse...

Dear Decca ...
anyone ever tell ya your muse is the GIFT
very very cool poetess Flame...very.

When your own emptiness is all that's getting through
There comes a point when you're not sure why you're still talking
I passed that point long ago

What a great gift of love, in such wonderful style. Thanks, decaflame, for the unique look at the colors of love in the alphabet.

Oh, this is nice! What a beautiful graphic to paint in one's mind!

Personally, I would have written a much longer word....

Yes each waking is a gift, and you said it beautifully. You have to laugh at him don't you, and of course now I want to know what word he would have written    stinker!
