~* I Wish You Love *~

How I miss your arms around me,
the sweet breath of your sweet kiss.
I long to taste and smell you,
as we did in moments of tenderness.

I sit here in sorrow wondering,
why my best was not good enough,
to pull you from your stresses
when your life was going rough.

I tried so hard to protect you,
and to keep you safe from pain.
I thought we were forever,
and that I would share your name.

I wish this pain would go away,
that I could dull this aching heart.
They say it will, well maybe so,
the longer we are apart.

I don’t know why you left,
As I gave all I had to give,
You’ll hold a place in my heart,
As long as I may live.

I wish you all the best in life,
and hope in your travels you’ll find
someone who will be able
to ease your troubled mind.

Above all this I wish you love,
Search for it, and you will find.
If your road leads no where,
Remember that you left me behind.

Ah Lauren I forgot to put the name of the song, and you are right!  It is "I Will Always Love You" originally done by Dolly Parton then, Whitney Houston, and it was playing on my CD so I wrote this at the same time!  Thank you.

Another beauty. Wonderful.

(I thought it was first sung by Dolly Parton? I could be wrong, wouldn't be the first, or last LOL)

Enchantress ~ Glad you liked and it is always sad when a man never realizes what he left behind for greener pastures isn't it?

Dee ~ Stick around, there is some fabulous poetry coming up about one a minute now!  LOL, seriously there are so many good writers in here, I pale in comparison but that you.

Heather ~ You are absolutely right, but you get no prize   lol, it was even Dolly Parton that wrote it, and how could I forget that.  She is one the greastest songwriters of this era.  Thanks I fixed the post.

Sharon I was actually referring to the song I wish you love by Barbara S, I think....you know the one...*L* I never even thought of I will always love you...but now that you mention it....I can hear it playing in the background....

I don't know why I left you, girl.
I must have lost my head!
I let a girl with golden curls
Kidnap my heart, instead!

I didn't know she had tattoos
And thick hair down her back.
She spends the night chug-luggin' booze
And drinks beer by the pack!

Her belches would make foghorns weep
She never takes a bath...
Woe be to any kindred soul
Encountering her wrath.

She likes to bring her whips and chains
When we get in the sack...
So, if you mean the things you say,
For God's sake..TAKE ME BACK!!!

Nightshade ~ LOL... that "longing" was the story of my life actually, three times, so now I have learned (and I meet their Mother first)

Martie ~ Thank you, and today you made me really smile with your poetry dear friend.

Lady of Shallot ~ Bitterness is not a way to ever end love, for it was a good thing to have loved, even once.  Thank you.

Sunshine ~ Would you ever wish anyone any less?  I think not, and I thank you.

~*~

now....Balladeer!

I don't know why you left me boy,
you must have lost your head,
to let a girl on a motorbike,
kidnap your heart, instead!

Her tattoos are really gross,
and I'm laughing 'bout her back.
I never knew a biker girl yet,
couldn't drink beer by the pack!

You see I set you up my "deer"
and that there is my sister,
she's the black sheep of our family,
and I sicked her on you mister!

She's beyond whips and chains
when she gets you in her sack...
You deserve all that you get,
Forget it...Don't come back!

This was great fun ~ ~ Thanks for the great poem Balladeer!

Hi! Sharon, I can see how you would have been inspired by this great picture. . and wonderful melody. I also hear that from a broken heart only pieces of love can be poetically expressed... and I'm sure you've picked up those pieces more then once. But, to be honest with you... Whomever let you go, was some crazy, insane dude anyway... not deserving of your love. Just my 2 cents worth..   Maggie ((~.~)

What a touchingly beautiful poem. You have penned my feelings here, and done it with such grace I might add.

And as for those other two poems by you and Baladeer...well, I'm just splitting my sides laughing. So on that note I'm going to bed

I like your poem...it's really super
Although you fed me to a Booper.
I shoulda known right when I kissed her
And split my lip she was your sister.
Now she's become a real bounty
Since I have learned to be her "mountie".

Mysteria--

This was so very beautiful. Aching and longing in its sincerity. I tried
very hard not to cry when I read this...but tears fell anyways. That is
a good thing though.

LOL @ Baladeer--where do you come up with this kind of stuff
kind Sir. Thank you for the laughs though--seems this place could
do with one or two here lately!

Take care.

I am LMAO!!!!!  Sharon...I read your beautiful poem, found myself wiping a tear or two, as I always do being the emotional wimpus that I am...(but, of course, you've seen that part of me in person, so you already know that)...
and then...I read the comments, and found myself laughing so hard I was crying again.
This should be placed in the "Passion's Hall of Fame"...for sure!
I love it!

Your comments were simply amazing,
You're Passions friends, so true,
But this was just a simple, love poem,
that I tried to write for you.

See, she's my younger sister,
learned her tricks from the best,
So if Balladeer is playing "mountie"
That boy's gonna need a "rest"!!!

Thank you all for your fun comments.  This was fun!

I loved this song before I ever lived it. *S* And your poem speaks for so many, Mysteria... if you truly love, you wish them forever in love's shelter... even if the arms aren't your own... and even if the smiles waver through tears. This was going into my library even before the giggle brigade got started. *G*

As for Bal.... dern it... you promised not to TELL!!!! Big sis don't wantcha back... you're stuck now! LOL
