My journey takes me far away from your sight.
My eyes, clouded by dust, tears, love,  burn.
My heart, heavy without, within  me beats tired.
My lungs, filled with screams of sadness, constrict.

I see you in my mind as I left you, a smile over grief.
Your words of love, burned into my soul,  I forget not.
If only I could have you at my side, not just in my soul.
I love you.

A storm rages within my mind,   I but a mere tossed twig .
Leaves of pain fall beside my still body.
My burden heavy, I give my flesh to thee.
Tear my flesh from my still corpse, dying slowly.
Rend me into a thousand pieces, feed the carrion birds.

My shield shelters me not from despair.
My sword cannot slice an invisible foe.
Legions of all the world can’t give me the prize.
Love waits but is not here,    I am alone,   lost in love.
I long to see you once again.

If I were King, could I have you for more than a day?
Would you be my lady dear, rest aside me at night.
Would you share passions,   loving hard with me?
Could I give you all I have left to give?
I will!

Thanx Krista....just one of those moods on
one of those days....compelled me to put
them on paper....I am sure you relate well
to that.

Would you share passions,  loving hard with me?

That is one of my favorite lines as well.

Thank you for your comment.

Very strong and beating very closely with that of William Shakespeare. I could feel that dire passion and edge of darkness he so oft danced with. You have a wonderful talent!
