As Angels Watch

The angel plays her harp, a sad tune,
For the lost and lonely children who never feel love.
Sheds a tear as one wee one is hit,
Then fears onsequence less she cries in pain.

She ask her Father, if she can intervene,
“No.” He says, “Free will to men I give.”

The angel looks at the father,
Who at night visits his daughter’s room.
Playing now a song so sorrowful,
That birds for a moment cease their chirping.
Then her brother is beaten, he runs away,
The girl is afraid to leave.

The mother does not protect them,
She also bruises them,
As she has no love to share.

When grown they meet again, sharing a dark past,
Knowing they'll forever be close.
The man marries having children,
His small ones and wife he beats,
Hanging, he leaves...no one a note.
The angel cries....
The one the woman trusted was gone,
She felt a heavy sadness within.

She marries a gentleman,
He takes away her fears slowly,
Teaching her real love of family.
She bears children having never ceasing love.

For sins committed to her youth,
Causes her to still struggle at times….
When she falls, the angel cries, but now tears of joy.

Hope shines leading the way, as the angel knows,
Blessed is this mortal as many die not knowing thruth.
The Father waits to give them pure unconditial love,
The angels smile...
    Yet a tear is shed,
         Another innocent one falls.

Red,
A complex poem that had to be written.

*sigh* this poem touched me so deep that I felt the angels tears. I know this place from which these words were taken. A poem from deep within the soul that begged release. Thank you for sharing it with me.
