twenty four, fourty eight, seventy two
the hours float on by as I stare lost in reality
ninety six, one twenty, one fourty four
cut off from the way things used to be
it's just a systematic decay
a complete reversal of the day
trapped in a spiral of misery and frustration
hours turn to days of desecration
and I'm floating downward to the icy core
wanting the warmth I felt before
breaking inside as I dance the ledge
flirting with breakdowns that dwell on the edge
how many days has this been alive
when will it end and will I survive
too many questions as my mind goes to pieces
emotional stability and comprehension ceases
reality drifts away as though in a dream
and I'm here wondering am I who I really seem
numb all over and hanging by strings
I'm waiting for what the puppeteer brings
who am I what is this do I really exsist
or is this a dream I can't resist
nuclear meltdown straight to the core
I don't remember being this dead before
floating away in a sea of disillusion
falling apart from a little confusion
fading away a piece at a time
trapped in the cage of rhythm and rhyme
disconnected from reality and the pain it brings
can't remember my hopes and all those things
I'm drifting away in a tube of my design
no longer defined by a straight line
and I'm spinning around with the voices in my head
telling me to go back to bed

if only I knew where that was...

This sounds so lost and confused. Writing is such a great catharsis, I hope it is helping to put all in perspective. Tomorrow is another day, and hopefully a better one.
