Is it okay to weep, tonight?
Is it okay to choose a fall?
Is it okay to pout my lips
in gloss beneath a mirrored ball...

dazzles of reflections play
lights before me show the way
Hither come and thither gone
heart-in-pulse to beat of song...

So much smoke
and too much wine
So many pose as one--
entwined...
(say that you are ever mine)
before I wish myself away.

Glitter shadow under eyes
in mockery of tears I've cried...
and should you ask, I'll say I lied.
I'll swear to you I never died.
I'll swear
I never gave a damn,
or prayed my hand become your hand...

I need you.
I am so afraid.
I need to hear
the things unsaid...
there's seed of rage
inside of me--
that kicks the wall
of things unseen.

ROTFL! I forgot I was replying and composed a whole poem in the reply. My blunder. I do love this, Serenity. You have been in tune with my own mood for sure?

I need you.
I am so afraid.
I need to hear
the things unsaid...
words on my mind  lately, too... hugs

Serenity~ Wow...I felt this one.  Sometimes the things unsaid are the most deafening eh?  Powerfully expressed...as usual I enjoyed your style of rhyme and the cadence as well

Hugs,
~Krista

Your beautiful words & creativity allow me to connect with the same in myself.
Thank you for having the courage to share yourself so that I can too

in the things unheard
are the messages from life
messages that must be heard
so that we can grow
so that we can feel
so that we can learn
open your ears. . .

here's hoping that you know to listen. . .

with the right person, it's simply "ok" to be yourself and that's a wonderful feeling.

-befriend yourself and you will never be alone-

Oh Serentity, this is indeed a wonderful piece of writing. I can just picture this scene and feel the emotions in it.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

Serenity...you are very okay with me...as long as you don't kick me. But you definately have a beautiful way of making one feel like even that would be okay. I really admire your depth and flame in your poetry.

Sincerely,
Regina

NOW....this one was intensely personal...don't even enjoy rereading it...(paging Dr. Freud?) But I thank you all, tho I am always a bit disturbed to find so many relate to my inner demons...love to you all...and? THANK YOU.
