Carve

Remember the trees
tall maple
daystar leaves rising
cresting new against
the blue pale measureless sky
Child eyes recall with glee
the moments seemed as hours
So today I plead with mercy
innocence regained and burning
Brothers
Sisters
Lovers
take the step leaping free
unchain the scores
written long ago
Carve your passion's mystery
press your mark
light the way
Spill tears of joy unrelenting
raise your feet above the stones
and stumble no more

Yes...I remember well! And so much you have brought to my memory in this verse. So very lovely and reaching. No limits. No fears. Wonderful!

Sincerely,
Regina
