~* Sandcastles and Secrets *~

She missed him most of all at this shore.
Hearts and desires so young and reckless.
How like the sea was their passion.
Her tide, too, had crashed in waves,
waves of thunderous heartbeats
uncontrollable as an undertow,
feeling so powerless in its grip.
Each crest higher than the last,
building to a final peak,
then slowly crashing down again.
Undulating currents that
coaxed, and teased her body
until waves of their passion were spent.
She had loved him she knew that now,
and they made passionate love.
Now as she looked at her son,
Her low tide mirrored no black shadow
On the sands of this shore.
He was the mirror image of his Father.
Maybe someday they would meet,
and she would tell him of her love
and his son, but for now
she held that night and his son,
safe in the sandcastles of a memory.
