How many times did it happen today,
all the words the preachers did say.
To reach out and console, with helping hand,
about a life run out as the hourglass sand.
To each they feel like the only ones,
when all over the land the course was run.

It is hard to fathom we are born and will die,
but no one excapes in the by and by.
Only how we live is what will count,
and to enjoy what we are, as the days mount.
To wrap in grief and cry with pain,
wastes each day on this life plain.

Regardless of how bad, all can be,
there are many more worst, you never see.
Take what is yours and mix it all up,
cook a new dish and begin to sup.
Fill the hunger of the very soul,
and make a new start as the very first goal.

Take a look, far down the road,
with yourself forming, a different mold.
A mold of life of a brand new way,
to smell the roses and have your say.
For if the old ways didn't bring what you need,
it has come the time to plant new seed.

Anything can change if wanted bad enough,
all it takes is to have the right stuff.
To be simply honest with how we have been,
is harder to do, then dealing with kin.
Ahh, take your life and live it large,
before the preacher, is left in charge.

Dear Logan, I started to try and choose certain lines which rang a bell so clear within me, but, after this one I had to stop as I would have filled this blue page with quotes from your beautifully spoken words.  And, speak to me they did.
Enjoyed this write so much...as usual, gentle man.

A poem called "preacher" from the teacher
Oh sweet keeper...you must be reading my mind...
I needed this one tonite(just ask poor margie)
words of wisdom...as we have come to expect.
thank you for another log on the fire *S*

We're all feeding our lonely ... like it might go away,
Like the doors of heaven will swing wide ... if we just find the right words to say.

It is simple to see that you have had to face a passing that you realize had to come, but weren't quite ready to let go...until you wrote that new seeds need to be cast...

and in that, is the acceptance...

so wise, you are, and so well written, is this...

a keeper.  Thank you, Sir!

Well this was wonderful Logan, and very wise.
I for one, don't worry about things I can't control, and intend on living life to the fullest. Nature's beauty is what I attribute my attitude to.  Beautifully done.

You share your wisdom in such a beautiful way...I enjoyed reading this and I'm going to file it away into my library so that I can read it again and again because there is a message in here that I don't want to forget.

Hugs,
~Krista

Your beautiful words & creativity allow me to connect with the same in myself.
Thank you for having the courage to share yourself so that I can too
