I drew a portrait of myself-- my face within an ocean's wave and all my convolutions dwelled within this tide of face. A man behind me stood a-sea; One hand held reins--the other reached as if to pull me back to him-- as if to save me from the beach. "What is that?" he asked with smile. "I'll keep this, if I may. I'd like to ponder this awhile..." Thus I gave myself away. "It is not done." I did protest. He met my eyes in sweet contest. He pointed at my signature-- bottom right, my mark, resigned. Thus I read my forfeiture-- I had already signed. [This message has been edited by serenity (edited 10-08-2001).] |

Now I loved this! A contract with the dark? A contract with unreality? A contract with safety? See...this could mean a ton of things, and I picked one and it was sure not the devil, as you are way too sweet for any of that dark stuff. But it was indeed a great write, great!~I always have time to listen to someone talking from their heart~ |
