The poetry has stopped.

I’m not sure how to heal myself;
will reading your words
eventually kill me,
or bleed the wound
of the gangrene flesh?

Cauterize me.
I want to be burned closed
and branded
with your white hot indifference.

I love you but
you loved me never,
and it sends me into a fevered state
of broken promises
and mirages of who you were.
I will never be 98.6 again.

There isn’t room here
for the both of us,
only one poet
can cry ink onto the page,
and your words keep on coming,
in long rhyming moans
about the torture and the
hell you live in
because of the one
who left you behind.

Well hell then.
You’ve left me behind,
and I can’t seem to write something
bad enough
for you to understand how much
I hate love.

The poetry has stopped,
and I can’t
think straight anymore,
because sonnets don’t exist
in real life.

"Glory remains unaware of my neglected dwelling where alone
I sing my tearful song which has charms only for me."

Wow, this is haunting in a way.  The hurt will be healed by time, but reading those words will make that time seem an eternity.  I'd suggest trying to find something else to do for a while.  Best of luck.  This one hurts.

All writing comes
by the grace of God.

Oh, my sweet girl, poetry will never stop, it only sleeps and for a time runs to and fro and glides back into your life as a kite on a March wind!  Rest in the reassurance that you are young!  With much more to be written.

"because sonnets don't exist in real life. . ."

that's a line that will make you think. . . is real life metrical, or is it just free verse??

excellently done. . . a lot of outpouring here. . .

sonnets ARE in real life! YOU are in real life.... so beautifully wonderfully you.... the pain of your words puts me in anguish and i reach out my Love to you........

whatever you are going through, please know you WILL heal......

and afterward, you will be stronger, wiser, more resilient, and full of Love to share because you have the beauty of Love inside of you

((((hugs)))))

Sweet Busy Bee!

Its good to see you writing under whatever circumstances. This oozes a mixture of emotions, and is encloaked in desperation to hold to something solid. Very very intense, Bee. I enjoyed and felt every word. All I can say is you WILL be fine. Just heal, and don't stop writing even if you don't post. Don't let the poetry stop. *sigh* yup..intense does not even begin to describe the pain I see here. Take care of you! :loveya; (((HUGS)))

Your heartbreaking disappointment and sadness are so well worded in this piece, it's greatly appreciated through tears for you.  Keep writing as it's great medicine.
