(i hesitate to post this..because its more just thoughts, than anything...but its something thats been swimming around in my head for a while...and i thought, i'd just throw it out there before the thought went away...[now i'm going to take a much needed nap! lol] maybe i'll rewrite this one later   -g)

they came in fear--
for it wasnt love
that drove them to create
such a fiery grave...

a woman of wisdom
once told me...
it is love that causes one
to anger
if it is not love,
it is fear....

just as i have brought
death to that which
frightens me--
however small the life,
it breathes....

they fear us--
dont you see...
they found anger in their
fear
and took it out on us

perhaps they didnt like
the weakness
they saw in
their fear...

but love us,
they do not

when we look at ourselves
what will we see?
a reflections of their fear--
or a love for humankind
that will conquer the anger...

i know, its hard...
its hard to believe in people
again...after such terror...
but we must stand up
and face our fears...head on
or they will face us
before we know whats
hit us...

Wise notions in here, dgvarner, but are you sure you know who exactly "They" are...?

I really like this alot.. I think it comes from a wise perspective.. One thing whoever they are..for sure they don't love us! We however are showing love.. or else we would still not be feeding the innocent common people in their land, nor would be waiting and searching out the perpetrators of evil acts as we are. I tend to agree they acted out of fear..the world is becoming so small they feel we are just next door, and very disgusting neighbors in their eyes.

Well, this lady is thrilled to read this. Fear is a wasted emotion, filling hurting hearts to the brim and causes relationships to dissolve instantly. Thank you for posting this!

This is excellent writing.  Even though you may refer to it as 'just thoughts', we have all had these questions and thoughts running around loose in our minds of late.
Enjoyed!  ~hugs, Nancy~

AMEN!!  If we let fear rule our lives, then we are not truly living.  Very well done!!
