State of Suspended Passion

0 posted 2001-10-06 02:19 AM

Its wrong to love you so
but the sweet whisper of your heart
won't let go of mine.
Dream me softly, my sweet lover
as I write you passionate cliched love poetry.
Do I care that I am witnessing the slow burn
of my tender heart again as you touch it?
I do not care for it is mostly the burn I ache for
as long
as it is yours.
So speak with the fingers of your soul
to my breaking solitude
and sing me a story of how your sunshine steals
my breath beneath the piercing silver moon's arms of light.
Just tend my lips with your own as we move our heads
to the slow breeze of passion grinding against the world.
Write love letters to the feather of my voice
as its tendrils touch upon the quiver of your skin.
I believe you are mine if only briefly
so let me have
one
last
thought of you
before you leave the solace of my heart again.
I love you, Sunshine.
Smile upon me as I ache for you to be the last one
to ever touch my heart again.

I am many.

The heart of you

As you can see, I love the moon as much as you love the sunlight, so for me, this is a wonderful poem.

Here's hoping that your sunshine feels the same way.

This is just beautiful.

Siofra,

I am amazed that such a lovely and tender poem such as this had only the two replies when I came across it.  It's soft flow brought such peace as I read it.  Thank you.

WOW!!  Guess I went to bed too early last night and missed this beautiful piece.  This is fantastic...a heart crying out with love.  Enjoyed, ~NancyLee~

Such a touching write.

Smile upon me as I ache for you to be the last one
to ever touch my heart again.

Such a lovely ending too

What a beautiful, softly flowing love song.

"Dream me softly, my sweet lover
as I write you passionate cliched love poetry.
Do I care that I am witnessing the slow burn
of my tender heart again as you touch it?"

Burning passion is really cool.
