Near golden sunsets

No more guessing at the heavens,
I tire of this rolling wheel
of unexplainable nonsyncretism,
No longer willing to just accept,
mentally or bodily, this strange
concept of disestablishmentarianism.
I can't question the motives of those
so fruitless in their attempts
to hinder with the strings
of such a miniscule lute
the actions of a country
well-denied its very own culture
in an attempt to "socialize" it.
But I am quite spiritually disinclined
to step forward any longer against
these dark entities that stand
for "liberty and justice" for the people,
and hold a different form for themselves.
I will sit back in the shadows
and watch the warfare continue
and my friends be slaughtered
with handcuffs and a gavel
and postpone forever my own attempts
to be heard.

you have "been heard"...

I remember learning to spell disestablishmentarianism...many moons ago.

Don't  quite remember  the reason though *s

You never cease to amaze me, Sweetness. I love the depth in this, and how much it made me think.  Did I mention its wonderful to have you posting?

I doubt that. Your voice will speak out clearly for fairness and truth. It's the nature of your spirit to do so.
