The Shivers Of A Thousand Cherubs

We watched as the curls of Neptune's vision swept the sands of time
Giving life to the far reaches of this world we so desire to understand
The horizon of this past day marking history as night began to climb
Leaving the footprints of love across our hearts shadowing this land

With stars of solitude fanning the breezes of passion with in our lips
Bursting against the sheets of midnight as it blanketed hidden eyes
We fell onto the wings of Venus riding an upsweep of velveted hips
Navigating heaven across crests of hunger hidden in our disguise

The clouds of darkened embrace were disbursed into the salty swells
Surges of boundless trust sought freedom in our comforting release
As waves of restriction found a liquid path to the masts of pure sail
Billowing deceptions were enraptured and gave way to love's lease

With the hour of eternity dedicating all minutes to formalities kiss
We settled back to catch the breath of each goal as it wrote our song
Tunes of angels turned to the melodic melodies of mermaid bliss
Keeping rhythm with a metronome of desire ... guiding us along

The shivers of a thousand cherubs gave life to forbidden dreams
Filling the mighty seas with boundless tides of undaunted trust
Reefs of battered hearts broke the silence within starlight beams
Grinding the hollows of forgotten promises into twilight's dust

In this time ...
                   one simple gaze ...
                                              one simple touch ...

Gave re-birth to a century of kisses
As we joined hands and fell in love.

                                                             Mark Christopher

** Just wanted to stop in and say hello to all. I am hoping to be back in here next week on a more regular basis. The new job has taken me away longer than expected. I miss all my friends and your poetry and am anxious to get back in here to participate.
JM sends me your messages, well wishes and reads me your poetry.
Thank you all for your patience, friendship and support.

Mark

I have found in you ... a reflection of me ...
and a path to the peace I have sought.

How lovely is this...and how romantic
ya take us to the heavens and back with this beauty MC...

Beautiful ethereal poem of devotion and promise and as always cadence kissed...

Like the doors of heaven will swing wide ... if we just find the right words to say.

Mark had to go out of town this weekend so he asked me to come and say a heartfelt and sincere thank you to all who came and read this and to say thanks to you for the continued support and friendship.
He appreciates these wonderful replies so much in light of the fact he cant be in here to reply to us like he wishes to be.
He had a good laugh at the hicups and the banter as well...Im sure he'll have his two cents to add to that.
Thanks guys
